Loving Life FM 103.1 has as one of its main objectives, the support of talented youth in the Clarence Valley in their pursuit of careers and employment pathways in the media industry.
To facilitate this endeavour, the School of Community Radio and Media (SCRAM)Foundation has been established.
Fundraising to support the SCRAM Foundation is now underway. It will be continued with various events (e.g. SOULful Concert and Loving Life Day) and avenues available for those wishing to contribute to this goal. Check on the donation page of our website and, if you wish, complete your personal and payment details.
At the recent Loving Life Day in Market Square (19 August 2017), we featured young talent in the contest, “Valley’s got Talent” 5-9 and 10-14 years of age.
Last year winners were invited to take part in the Venetian Carnival as part of the Jacaranda Festival.
This year the award winners of “Voices over the Valley” (15 to 25 years old), for $500 scholarships and internships, were announced.
Winner of the Scholarship was Georgia Cummins and winner of the Internship was Anaya Reimer. Congratulations to both of you.
Listen out for their studio recordings on our shows ‘Youth Chat’ and ‘Total Country’. Watch out for the interns doing their work experience projects at the radio station’s studios.
